Got my temporary motorcycle permit this morning, and signed up for the classes in early May. I want something fun to drive and I don’t have room for a second car, so bike life it is!

Car tires on those bikes would be pretty weird :)

Yessssssss, accept the dark side, embrace it! :D
Word of caution other Oppo s gave me when I considered a GS500: It isn’t the most reliable thing in the world and it’s impressively slow for a 500.

If you're going used you may be able to leverage the local market to your advantage. Buy a bike you're interested in, see if you like it, and if you don't you can probably sell it for what you paid for it!

I rode for eleven years until I hit a deer. My advice is buy as much armor as you can. I learned the hard way that prosthetic fingers don’t exist!

Probably want to stay away from those 250's in your photo! :0
;)
Not knowing how big you are, you may want to stay away from the regular
250's in general
. You may outgrow them very quickly. Even as a noob.
You may outgrow t
he GS
500 too. But i
f you’re small, ride
solo, do
in town riding, or have a
relaxed riding style, it may be fine for years.
